Forecasting the What-Ifs:
The Oracle-Cerner Story
In this project, I analyzed the Oracle–Cerner acquisition through the lens of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). My goal was to identify and evaluate key risks that could impact the success of the merger — such as integration challenges, cybersecurity threats, and financial uncertainties. I combined qualitative techniques like SWOT analysis and heat maps with quantitative models to assess risk severity and likelihood. I also applied Indicators & Warnings (I&W) techniques to proactively track potential red flags before they escalate.
To bring this all together, I designed a risk report using tools like Excel and PowerPoint, incorporating visuals such as risk matrices and dashboards to communicate insights clearly. This project helped me strengthen my skills in strategic risk assessment, data-driven storytelling, and creating executive-ready deliverables for high-stakes business decisions.
