The Supply Chain Optimization Dashboard is an interactive Power BI solution designed to help businesses gain deep insights into their end-to-end supply chain operations. Built using the publicly available DataCo Supply Chain dataset, this project analyzes over 180,000 records of sales, customer orders, product data, shipping information, and delivery timelines between 2015 and 2017. The dashboard is structured across five main pages: Overview, Order Fulfillment, Profit & Sales, Customer Insights, and Product & Inventory.
Each page is built with a clear purpose. The Overview gives a snapshot of total sales, orders, profit, shipping performance, and key trends. The Order Fulfillment page tracks scheduled vs. actual delivery timelines, late delivery risks, and shipping mode efficiency. The Profit & Sales page analyzes profitability by product, category, and region, while also measuring gross margin and net gain per order. Customer Insights focuses on segment-wise behavior, repeat vs. one-time buyers, and market-wise sales distribution. Finally, the Product & Inventory page dives into product performance with visuals for sales velocity, inventory value at risk, pricing efficiency, and department-wise regional demand.
From a technical standpoint, the dashboard leverages DAX to create custom KPIs such as Sales Velocity, Inventory Value at Risk, Average Profit per Unit, and Dead Stock Flag. Conditional formatting, slicers, and custom tooltips help users interact intuitively with the data. This dashboard not only visualizes whatβs happening in the supply chain β it helps decision-makers identify bottlenecks, optimize stock strategies, and improve customer service through data-driven insights. Built with clarity, performance, and usability in mind, it brings value across departments β from logistics to sales and operations.
